I created this website as part of a project that combined both web development and professional life. I was able to apply everything I learned during the year in web development (HTML 5, CSS, JS, ...) and showcase my personality through its simple style and dynamic colors. As part of a project to learn the basics of web development, I was able to create a website about one of our shared passions, E-Sports, with Thomas DELOUP, one of my classmates. This project allowed us to familiarize ourselves with web coding for the first time and also to share our passion with our peers.

Responsive Web Design: I gained a solid understanding of responsive design principles, which allows me to create websites that adapt perfectly to different devices and screen resolutions.

Proficiency in Front-End Languages: I am comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and know how to use them together to create interactive and visually appealing web interfaces.

Using CSS Frameworks: I have experimented with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS to speed up the development process and create attractive layouts more quickly.

DOM Manipulation: I am able to efficiently manipulate the DOM with JavaScript to make my websites dynamic and interactive, adding features such as animations and interactive forms.

Performance Optimization: I have learned best practices for optimizing website performance, including reducing load times, compressing resources, and optimizing rendering.

Cross-Browser Testing: I have tested my websites across different browsers to ensure they work properly on all platforms, paying special attention to compatibility with recent versions of popular browsers.

Context: During my first year in the BUT R&T program, I had the opportunity to participate in a team project with four members at Thales Alenia Space, a company specializing in aerospace. I worked on a web development project for an internal database management application.

Skills: This project allowed me to apply my web development skills by working on a real project for a renowned company. I learned to collaborate in a team, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with my teammates.

The Project: I contributed to the development of a user interface for an application managing best practices across various satellite-related programs, all organized within a database. The project involved using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I also contributed to the design of the database and the integration of the application with the company’s existing system, notably using PHP to connect the website to the database.

Context: During my first year in the BUT program, as part of a communication course, my classmate and I had to conduct an interview with a professional in the field of networks and telecommunications. Together, we selected a collaborator from Amadeus, a cybersecurity engineer working as a pentester and researcher in cybersecurity solutions.

Skills: The preparation and execution of this interview allowed us to learn how to leverage our network, communicate in a professional environment, define the objectives of an exchange beforehand, and present the content of the interview to our professors.

Lessons Learned: This experience reinforced my interest in cybersecurity careers, particularly in the role of a pentester. I also had the chance to learn about a potential career path in this field.

This project is one of the most ambitious we had the opportunity to work on. The main objective was to design a secure multisite corporate network using real Cisco equipment. Each site needed to be interconnected via an IPSec tunnel configured on a Cisco ASA 5505, while providing a VPN-SSL solution for remote users. Additionally, a configuration for ToIP and Wi-Fi was planned, but due to time constraints, this part was not completed.

This project allowed us to apply a wide range of skills and put into practice the knowledge we had acquired so far. Some key learnings included:

Implemented level 2 redundancy with load balancing (HSRP, STP, VLAN) and optimized network flows, as well as level 3 redundancy at the core of the network using dynamic routing (OSPF).
Efficiently divided subnets into VLANs.
Identified network service needs and configured them, including DHCP.
Implemented enhanced security for access to sites, equipment, and between departments using IPSec.
Learned to quickly inject saved configurations.

In parallel, this project also helped develop essential transversal skills, such as:

Managing heterogeneous hardware (hardware and IOS).
Interpreting messages and logs during configurations.
Adapting and finding alternative solutions when unexpected issues arise.
Teamwork, being attentive, proactive, and able to report effectively.
